We have over 1000 acres of our own blueberry property, plus we purchase blueberries from other blueberry producers in Nova Scotia.

Our facility is located approximately 60 kilometers from Halifax, which is ideal for exporting our blueberries from the Halifax seaport to our foreign markets. Approximately 70% of our blueberries are exported to other countries.

The blueberries received at Rainbow Farms Ltd. are grown on our own 2500 acres of blueberry land. We also purchase blueberries from other blueberry growers in Maine, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

Our blueberry processing facility has grown to our present capacity to freeze over 25,000 pounds per hour. Our cold storage facilities have the capacity to hold 15 million pounds of product.

Rainbow Farms prides itself in harvesting only the finest wild blueberries for our customers. We are HACCP recognized facility and have adopted the highly effective HACCP Program in our establishment. The HACCP program is a preventive approach to food safety and is the preferred quality assurance standard world wide.
